We have posted some of our pictures from our puppy families as well as our friends and training partners to share with you.
These candids depict many of the successes we have had with our Poodle puppies as well as the dedicated families our poodles share their lives with.
The Standard Poodle is a very versatile companion and really craves human contact.
They make wonderful family pets and can also hunt in the field, float in the conformation ring, run an agility course, assist in assistance/therapy work, or just lay on the couch and be one's best friend.
We are very proud of the accomplishments our puppies have made and like to remain "In the know" with their current activities.
We often update this page when we get new pictures and have many more for review upon request.

AM/ INT/NAT UCI/ BIS/RBIS U-GR CH Marquis Diamond-Aurak Bonsante completed his AKC title in Dallas Texas on July 9, 2010 handled by Kathryn Bolin of Aurak Poodles.
Our Bonser flew home to Sacramento CA from Austin Texas on July18, 2010 and was entered in the Gold Country Hounds and Hunters UKC show July 23-24, 2010.
Bonser completed his GRAND CHAMPION UKC Title, Show #2, July 24, 2010. Bonser is shown, owner handled winning a Best in All breed show and Reserve Best in All breed show by Judges Mark Golden and Rebecca Harris. In addition to the BIS/RBIS, Bonser won Best of Breed in his 4 shows, 3 group Ones's and 1 group Two. It was a thrill for sure!
It was a great weekend and very exciting to get our boy home and acheive these wins in one weekend.
We left snowy and cold Northern California January 28, 2010 and traveled to warm Phoenix, Arizona for a 2-day Dog show with the UKC at Cortez Park, January 30 and 31, 2010.
Cindy Paul and I showed our CH Ciciley and CH Rosette in the Champion classes and little RedRoc Ricki in the NLC Puppy Classes. We had a great weekend taking along our Multi-Champ Valentino and Multi-Champ La Rue for the ride.
Our CH Rose won her first pass to her GRAND title and our little Dasha-Marquis Diamond RedRoc Rick Rack, AKA: RICKI won Best Puppy in SHOW NLC her first time in the ring at 3 months of age!
We also went to Chandler, AZ to the International Canine Semen Bank to pick up a tank with some very special breedings in Silver and Red. More to come on that exciting endeavor in our 2010 What's New Scoop.
We spent a great weekend with friends from all over the Phoenix AZ area. Fun was had by all!
The pup above is grandson of our Boulie, Deidra, and Tiara. He is Harmony Mountain bred from SR Titan, JH and Misty. At 13 weeks of age, he is doing quite well in service dog training with his new master, Cecilia. Here is what Cecilia's mom had to say:
"Just wanted to send a quick update. Camelot is progressing amazingly well, we are all, including David (his service dog trainer), amazed at how quickly he is learning / adapting to his surroundings, stairs, the wheelchair, basic command of sit and go potty.... he retrieves everything, we're having to try and slow him down a little, he also has no issue with different textures etc in his mouth, including metal...he regularly tries to free my two dogs from their metal kennels when I have them put up so he has undistracted play time with Cecilia.... he is great and Cecilia is ecstatic, though tired.... she is being pushed as well...which is a good thing, but difficult. He sleeps with Cecilia, rests with Cecilia, and is very much aware of where she is, so the bonding has occurred naturally and easily."
We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving LONG weekend November 26 to 29, 2009 at the ROSEVILLE CALIFORNIA/Placer County Fairgrounds for our annual Big Ticket event, the Gold Country Hounds and Hunters UKC dog show and Working dog Event. There were well over 350 dogs entered in all events and a GREAT turn out for sure.
This show weekend was 6 conformation shows, a Bull Dog Specialty, Iron Dog Event, Rally/Obedience competition and a weight pull.
We at Marquis Diamond are proud members of the GCH and H's UKC Dog Club and the annual show events for our club are each July and Nov/Dec.
We had poodle people from Idaho, Utah and California. We had some great results and some fun wins.
Of the Marquis Diamond Line up, Cindy Paul showed GRCH La Rue and CH Marquis- DancingCloud Ciciley, Hyla Roborts showed Marquis Diamond Regal Contessa, Kathryn Gleason showed CH Marquis Diamond Monroe the Magician, Susan Cook showed GRCH Marquis Diamond Miss Conduct, GRCH Pinafore Diamond Hail Storm (Grand as of Dec 5, 2009-Clearmont CA), GRCH Antigua Don't Look Back, Rebecca Shostak Showed in NLC, Marquis Diamond Back in Black and Ahnaisha Hall showed CH Mithril-Neigher Selina Shine.
There were our poodle pal's from SLC Utah , Kailen Vernon showing CH Pinafore All for One and One for All and James/Patricia from RimView kennels/Alpacas Twin Falls Idaho showing CH William, CH Jamie and Sarah.
Our wins were exciting, we acheived some titles on our Standard Poodles and overall we had a GREAT weekend. Congrats and Many Thanks to all that came for the Big Event!!
We went onto a show weekend in Claremont California at the Hotel Claremont on November 21 and 22, 2009. Cindy Paul showed GRCH LaRue and CH Ciciley , Rebecca Shostak showed Marquis Diamond Back in Black in the NLC pup classes and Susan Cook showed GRCH Missy and GRCH Hailey (Granded as of Dec 6, 2009).
Tarianne Weaver of Everette WA was our show photographer and took some great pictures. GRCH Missy (Silver) and her daughter CH Ciciley (White) are pictured together with Cindy and I. GRCH Hailey is pictured winning Best of Breed and Group # 1 under Judge Jeanne Heger.
Yuri Kobayashi Thomas ,Groomer, from the Santa Monica Pet Project (310) 450- 2090, is in the picture in the middle. Yuri came to Claremont to the show grounds and scissored all of our poodles for the show. Many thanks to Yuri for helping us out with our grooming and Becca for setting up the appointment. Sure was nice to have a personal groomer especially for us!
This is our International Best in Show boy Champion Marquis Diamond Monroe The Magician and his Momma Kathryn in Dixon CA at the Double Hitter AKC Specialty October 2009.
CH Monroe is still growing coat and maturing, being shown UKC and AKC , Owner handled.
CH Monroe showed in the UKC show in Roseville CA Nov 27 - 29, 2009 at the Placer County Fairgrounds and won the second Legg to his GRAND in UKC with 7 entries.

In an attempt to stay on the top of our game, on February 7, 2009, a group of us attended an 8-hour Show Grooming Seminar for the Standard Poodle hosted by Michelle Shultz of MTS Standard Poodles in Livermore, CA (www.MTSPOODLES.COM).
Myself (Susan Cook), Donna Van Arkle, Cindy Paul, and Kathryn Gleason, along with our beloved Marquis Diamond Standard Poodles, CH Boulie, CH Bella, and CH Monroe made a weekend endeavor out of our Seminar, hosted by Michelle Shultz of MTS Standard Poodles. Cindy elected to work on Michelle's show dog, AM CH Tanque instead of bringing one of her kids!
Michelle provided us with a grooming manual, gave a wonderful Lecture the first half of our day and after lunch, the second part of our training was a hands on groom-a-thon, learning specifically the "Poodle Show Puppy Clip."
Michelle critiqued our work, went over the show pictures we furnised her, sketching in how to "Make it Better" and just being the most gracious hostess and instuctor she could be.
What made the day alot of fun was the tour of her Kennels. We took a picture with my Mom, Helen and Michelle's HUGE Fiberglass Standard Poodle, Tyler.
The first time I saw Tyler was in the Poodle Variety Magazine some years ago, where Tyler was posing with Dorthy Matzner of d'Kamron Standard Poodles, Concord CA. Dorthy bought "Tyler" from an Antique shop that was closing their doors and they featured the story.
After Dorthy passed away in September 2008, Michelle was given the treasured heirloom and we saw it in the back of the classroom at the seminar. We just had to pose him and take a picture of him. What a small world it is.
Michelle does Specialty grooming and gives seminars for specifics on Show Grooming of the Poodle. It is a wonderful experience and highly recomended for all poodle enthusiasts.
We ended our weekend by attending another show grooming lesson in Napa, CA for the Brittany. Take a look at our girl Fanci on her very own PAGE!"
We showed our newest girl, Marquis Diamond-DancingCloud Ciciley in Rancho Cordova, CA August 29 & 30 AND Pleasanton, CA September 5 & 6, 2009 in the Non-Licenced, Novice Puppy classes.
Ciciley has started to catch onto the show game and did well for her first 2 show weekends. Ciciley took 4 Best of Breed Novice Puppy wins and 2 Reserve Best in Show Puppy wins to date.
She excels in her movement, using great reach and drive. We are hopeful this little girl will continue in her show career and continue onto her titles in Conformation.
She was bred by Marquis Diamond Standard Poodles and is a Daughter of AM CH DancingCloud Maximus (White) X Multi Champion Marquis Diamond Miss Conduct (Silver), DOB: 04/13/09.
The show weekend for UKC in Pleasanton, CA September 5 & 6, 2009 brought about alot of fun and great wins for our group of Poodles.
We Grand titled our first RED standard Poodle, GR CH Mithril - Marquis Diamond La Rue De Paris well before her first birthday and started our Black girl, Tes and White Girl, Ciciley in their Novice Puppy classes. Here are some of their candid and posed photos taken Sun Sept 6, 2009.

After the Pleasanton, CA Show on September 5 and 6, 2009, we took all of our Standard Poodle Kids and went to Cindy's house in Roseville for a swim party.
We had to give Ciciley swim lessons, how to find the steps and how to remember to stack up and pose even if she is wet. La Rue, Ciciley, Cooper and Duncan played in the pool and went after the ball.
Our Missy and Rose layed poolside and soaked up the Atmosphere VS swimming in the pool. Fun was had by all and alot of after care was needed for those long, wet coats. Thank you Cindy for the Invite!
This is our Marquis Diamond-Aurak Violet. Violet lives with Susanne in Waco, TX and is growing coat in preparation for her AKC Show Debut.
Violet is an AM CH DancingCloud Maximus X Multi CH Marquis Diamond Miss Conduct daughter, DOB 4/13/09.
We have great hopes for Violet in her conformation career in Texas, conditioned by Susanne Grode and handled by Kathryn Bolin of Aurak Poodles.
We will post our stats of the kids from this breeding, Violet in Texas, Ace in Arizona, and Ciciley in California with Us at Marquis Diamond Standards!
This is our newest Silver AKC Show Girl, Marquis Diamond's Simply Irresistable, AKA Fancy.
Carol Crouch flew from Philly PA to Reno NV and drove to our home to pick her Fancy girl this February 2009. Fancy is the offspring of our AM/CAN CH Pinafore Diamond Boulavardier (Silver) X UKC CH Pinafore Diamond Hail Storm (Silver).
Fancy is owner-handled and this win is from her first weekend out in the AKC 6 to 9 mo class in PA . Thank you Carol for showing our girl and much luck to you both in your future performance endeavors!
IWe had an exciting show weekend in Modesto CA March 14 and 15, 2009. We had offspring from our CH Rose X Rojo, CH Hailey X CH Boulie, Sheldon X PAris and Multi CH Valentino X AnnaBelle showing their stuff.
We start our red puppies , Rubee, Rue and Rocky in conformation competition April 2009. Stay tuned for updates!
The pictures of the RED girl above are of one of our pups in Rancho Mirage, CA. The color of the RED kids in the ROJO, RA X CH ROSE litter were unmatched. The pups are testing for the Non-Fading Allele DD and we are hoping they will hold their strong, rich red color. Some of the kids on Co-Ownerships start in conformation this year as puppies. We are excited!

La Rue joins 3 other standard Poodles with the Paul family, 2 of which came from our lines, Their names are Duncan and Leo.
Rue was bred by Carolyn Carroll of Mithril Standard Poodles and is a Sheldon X Paris daughter. Cindy co-owns Rue with Marquis Diamond Standards.

Rue handled by Momma Cindy Paul have been a Winning team. Walking in the ring 5 times taking, 4 wins, One best puppy of Breed UKC and the Breed Puppy and a GROUP # 2 . What a start. We are pround of them all! We have a fun summer of shows planned for our clan!

CHAMPION Sting was shown to a great Finish this weekend after taking 3 Variety wins and 2 GROUP #1's. Sting is our handsome BLACK boy owned, conditioned and Groomed by his Proud Momma, Jennifer. Sting is a Multi-Champ Valentino (Blk) X Quest Annabelle (APT) Son and is already a Champ himself at just 6 months old.
Our Lovely RED girl, Mithril-Marquis Diamond La Rue is a daughter of Mithril Sheldon (Red) X Mithril Paris (Red). At just 6 months she has a Variety win and a GROUP #1! La Rue is groomed, conditioned and handled by her Momma and Co-Owner, Cindy of Roseville. Another one of our RED kids coming up. Look Out!
This red boy lives in New York with his family and sure looks happy. He is the son of UKC CH Davight's Diamond Heart of the Ocean X Mithril Sheldon's Shenanigan's.
The handsome Brown Boy was bred by Danielle Kannnan of Double Shot Kennels in PA. Danielle is the daughter of our Co Breeder and Best friend, Carolyn Carroll of Mithril Standard Podles in Kempner TX. The brown boy is a half brother to our Brown Girl, Mithril - Marquis Diamond Co Co Channel.
This is our little French Girl, Marquis Diamond Gabrielle of Paris taking the NLC, Best Puppy of Breed in Sunny Phoenix AZ, January 25, 2009. The judge was Rick Gann of Arlington, Texas. She was handled/bred by Susan Cook. Gabrielle is owned by Virginie Largilliere of Paris, France.
Virginie allowed us to take Gabrielle to Phoenix AZ for the first UKC dog show of the year for us at Marquis Diamond Standard Poodles. Gabrielle will be our first Standard Poodle in Europe.
We had a GREAT time with family and friends in Sunny Phoenix, specifically with Lori and Rich of Harmony Mountain Hunting Pudels.
Gabrielle goes to her new home in Paris, France Feb. 16, 2009 via San Francisco, CA. Her new Momma will fly over Air France and carry her home to Paris. Many thanks to Virginie for Choosing her Red Standard Poodle Girl from Marquis Diamond Standards!
UPDATE: Gabrielle is now living safely in Geneva, France with her new Momma, Virginie. We had a GREAT weekend in San Francisco, CA sight seeing and even went down LOMBARD Street with 9 hairpin turns in our Truck. Gabby Slept and Virginie was TERRIFIED. That will give her something to remember her trip to the USA to get her red poodle pup.
We boarded Gabrielle with her new Momma Virginie on Air France and waved good bye giving lot's of kisses too. On Feb 17, 2009, Gabby arrived safe to Paris and onto Geneva France to begin her new life on the French Riviera, Ooh La La!
We have been really busy this spring with dog shows and travel. We purchased a new Feather Light trailer and have been breaking it in going to dog shows from WA to AZ, and everywhere between.
The most recent trip to Enumclaw, Washington on May 31 and June 1, 2008 was at the best time of the bloom in Washington and there was beauty everywhere We took alot of pictures on the way and at our show set up at the Expo Center in Enumclaw, WA.
Special thanks to Suzie and Val for the help with our line up and handling. Suzie is an Eskie die hard and Valerie an American Pit Bull fanatic. Both caught on really fast with our poodles and their help was much appreciated! I captured some Eskie moments in the ring. The entries for the Eskies were the toughest we have seen at ANY show this year.
There was alot of Successful wins in our group and Fun was had by all!

Am/GR CH Antigua Don't Look Back |
We are very proud and honored to announce the newest addition to Marquis Standards: AM/GR CH Antigua Don't Look Back.
This handsome, young man comes to us from Dallas Texas. We will post additional info on Valentino as we complete his genetic testing. We are very proud to have Valentio in our lives and our hearts.

On Friday, March 28, 2008, We drove to Sunny Phoenix, AZ to visit our extended Poodle family and bring home our AM/GR CH Antigua Don't Look Back, aka Valentino.
Val was at Harmony Mountain Hunting Pudels for a hot date with a couple of beautiful poodle girls. We cannot wait to see those babies!
While we were at Harmony Mountain visiting Richard and Lori Horst, Heather Bryant of Absolutely Fabulous Mobile Grooming came to greet us and we had a grooming day for sure. We groomed several of our poodles (Valentino, Chloe, Cody and Bryce) and cut them into fancy clips. The pictures above show the progression of a Mobile Grooming session with our boy Val, by Heather.
Val was bathed, water extracted from his coat, dried, brushed and scissored to an expert finish as shown in these photos. Heather Bryant also raises and shows Miniature and Standard Poodles under her kennel name of Prodigy Poodles.
Heather is quite and expert when it comes to the grooming and show presentation of the Poodle breed. We appreciate all her help and guidance with our new found passion. The weekend was great and the company was better.
Valentino is home with us now at Marquis Diamond Standard Poodles and we are very pleased with this lovely boy!
This is Marquis Diamond Jillie. Jillie is a silver daugher born in 2007 from our AM/CAN CH Boulie X SeaSprite.
Steve and Marvin came to our home from S. California and chose Jillie at 3 weeks old from a 4 puppy litter. Steve and Marvin brought SeaSprite, our Proud Momma a card and flowers too!
Jillie is starting her career as Marvins Service K9 and will travel to Europe soon. Steve and Marvin RAVE about France and are sure Jillie will love it. Jillie already works from Marvins Go Go Scooter and is a regular all over in Studio City. Jillie has a private trainer and will soon be a world traveler.
Brian Frazier, (254) 366-6996 www.CentralTexasServiceDogs.com, is pictured with his Lifetime Canine Service Partner, Mithril Helmut.
Helmut was bred by Carolyn Carroll of Mithril Standard Poodles and was Brian's first service canine student. Brian reports the relationship between he and Helmut, "dramatically changed his (Brian's) life."
Brian is currently training Mithril-Marquis Diamond Titanic, lovingly called Titan. Brian reports Titan is doing very well and upon graduation, will partner as a Service Canine for Carolyn's daughter, Allexis. Titan is a Mithril Sheldons Shenanigans son. Pictures will post soon.
We are expecting some very exciting things from our new training partnership we have formed with Brian Frazier and Marquis Diamond Standard Poodles. Keep watching for updates or contact us for more details.
Here are a couple of our latest poodles in RED.
These are Mithril Sheldon X CH Rosette kids. Rosey pictured with her Momma, Rose and her new Daddy lives in Logan Utah with the Frankie Family. The Red pup loved on by the Amir family is called CoCoa and resides in Van Couver BC Canada.
Our red puppies were Born 4/7/08 and all have been well received by their families. This breeding was a joint effort by Marquis Diamond Standards and Mithril Standard Poodles of Texas. Carolyn at Mithril owns Dad, Sheldon, and we at Marquis Diamond are the Proud parents of our FIRST RED CONFORMATION CHAMPION, Rose.
On Saturday August 9, 2008, the first 2 puppies from our AM/CAN CH Boulie X Diamond Deidra litter of June 7th departed our local AirPort in Susanville by Private Charter.
2 White pups, Brother and Sister, went to the Cheetham and Mullen Families in Carlsbad CA and LaGuna Nigel CA, directly on the Pacific Coast. They will be true "Beach Babies."
Phil Blank Was the "Puppy Express" Pilot and Mike Mullen was the "1st Lieutenant" in Charge of the puppies during the Flight. Phil is pictured with My Mom, Helen loading the kids in the crate for the 4 hour flight to Carlsbad CA.
Special Thanks to the Susanville Muni Airport Crew Steve, Sandra and Ken for hosting our Private Charter families coming in for puppies as well as travel to our home in Milford. They offer use of their "Community Car" for incoming flight crews. It has been a nice extra for travel to our home by our puppy families coming to visit and picking their forever poodle babies.
Special thanks to Penny Harney at Pinafore Kennels for the great referal to Craig and Janet Cheetham for our companion Puppies. The Cheetham family had a White Standard Poodle boy which they chose from the Pinafore line up many years ago when Pinafore Kennels was in Alta Loma CA. This new puppy will carry on the tradition of their favorite Standard Poodle Bloodline.

This is Jack and Victor in Wisconsin this winter, 2007- 2008. It is really cold there and the pictures reflect the snowflakes that fall in WISCONSIN all winter.....
Marquis Diamond, Jack and Victor are loved, spoiled, trained and shown in Agility, Obedience and Rally "O' Trials by their dog Mom Wendy and Bill too! Their Momma, Wendy, does all of their grooming herself. Wendy is self-taught and is really doing quite well at it! Bill, Wendy and Jack came to California in 2006 for a vacation, and to visit our poodle family. Jack is so well-versed in his verbal commands, we were AMAZED at the ability he had to learn with Momma Wendy in their obedience endeavors. Jack has done so well that he received his first two novice titles in agility November 2007 in Spring Grove, Illinois: Novice Agility (NA) and Jumpers w/Weave Novice Agility (NAJ). Jack and Victor are both trained and completely loved.
Marquis Diamond Shadow is just beginning agility #101 classes in Yachat, Oregon. These pictures show the training methods that are used to begin agility training. All dogs are started on lead and learn the obstacles in a walk prior to all off-lead training. Shadow is the litter mate of Marquis Diamond-Harmony Mt. Titan and just as full of energy to learn a new task and please his family.
Shadow (DOB 02/26/07) is the offspring of Am/CAN CH Pinafore Diamond Boulevardier X Diamond Tiara.
Shadow lives in Oregon and is on the beach each morning, making his rounds from the Yachats River to Waldport Beach. Shadow is totally loved, trained and owned by Kirk and Joy, as well as Foxy the cat.

This is Skeeter and Polly Esther the clowns of www.Kingdom-Klowns.com. Polly Esther (aka Bridgette) contacted us early-2007 and was interested in a silver poodle girl. After a long conversation, Bridgette decided to take a white standard poodle girl and named her Mithril's Magikal Penelope. They call her Penny.
Penny is almost a year old and was bred by Carolyn Carroll at www.MithrilStandardPoodles.com. We brought Penny and her littermates home from Texas to Northern California March 2007. Penny's Momma is Mithril-Marquis Diamond Isabeau. This was a silver girl bred from our very first Standard Poodle litter at Marquis Diamond Kennels June 27, 2002.
Penny is part of the family clown act in Southern Florida and often is in costume with Pink Hair!
This is (Mithril) Sparkling Bleu Fantasia CD,RA,OA,OAJ. The latest Agility AKC titles were acheived March 2008 in TEXAS. Bleu is a Neiger Silver Bullet X B & B's Sparkling Lalique daughter born in 2005.
Donna is now starting her newest Silver girl, Mithril Remarkable Diamond (aka "Markie") in her training classes. Markie is an AM/CAN CH Pinafore Diamond Boulavardier X Neiger Selina Shine Daughter Born 01/07/08.
We are so happy for Donna and Bleu. CONGRATS ON THE NEW TITLES! We are anxiously awaiting Markie's show updates and Pictures. Stay Tuned!
This beautiful creame-colored boy is Wilson, also called Willie. Willie came to us at Marquis Diamond Standard Poodles as a surrender to the www.LassenAnimalRescue.com. With the help of www.NorCalPoodleRescue.net, we found Willie his Forever home in Salt Lake City, Utah with the Dolowitz family. Brian drove Willie to Elko, Nevada July 2007 and met his new family there so Willie Boy could start the first leg in his new home. Mom and Dad Dolowitz think Willie is the BEST. Willie joins them and their two other standard poodles. Willie is pictured here during his "Welcome Home Party" in Utah.

Jack is a Neiger Silver Bullet X B & B's Sparkling Lalique son and is owned by a professional groomer in Hawaii that uses him in National grooming competitions. The pictures above are before and after pictures of him.

Together, they have traveled more air miles in a year than I can count. Loki is a licensed Service Canine in San Francisco, CA. Puppy parking for Loki in San Francisco is a normal, daily habit. Loki never waits at home for Brooke. They "just do it" together, always!
